Lagos Life Time, Days and Cooldowns
Unofficial guide. Last checked 2026-10-10.
Lagos Life mixes two clocks: an in-game day that drives needs and venue hours, and real-world days that drive rent and daily rewards. Knowing which is which stops you missing deadlines.
The in-game clock
Needs fall, venues open and close, and actions take time on the in-game clock. This is the clock behind the six needs and venue hours.
The real-world clock
- Rent is taken every Saturday. This is the firmest deadline in the game.
- The daily gem hunt resets on a daily basis, so a missed day is a missed reward.
Cooldowns
Players report cooldowns on mini-games, the daily hunt and some one-off actions. We have not verified individual durations, and guides quote different figures. Plan around the pattern rather than a stopwatch: do your repeatable income first, then spend cooldown time on needs.
What we have not confirmed
Whether the in-game day maps to a fixed number of real minutes, and whether cooldowns are per action or per day. Both changed during launch week. If you time it precisely, send us the result.
Planning a week around the resets
Work shifts early in the week so pay lands before Saturday, keep the daily hunt as a fixed daily habit, and stop spending once rent is covered. The budget calculator is built around that weekly cycle.
