What is the Lagos Life simulator?

Lagos Life is a free life simulation game that runs in your browser. You create a character, work shifts, pay rent, keep needs such as food and energy topped up, and share one city with other real players. It is often compared with The Sims, but the setting is Nigerian.

Developer Shalom Rayhamen (some sources give her name as Shalom Mathew) launched it on 1 October 2026. She has said she was inspired by The Sims 3 and by Lagos Run, a danfo driving game. Press reports put the player count at over 2 million by 6 October and over 4 million by 9 October. Those numbers come mostly from the game's own dashboard and have not been audited.
