What to Do After the Lagos Life Tutorial

The tutorial teaches the controls. It does not teach the deadline. Your first week has one job: be able to pay rent on Saturday. Here is the order.
Step 1: find out what your rent is
Your starting home has a weekly rent that comes out every Saturday. Reported rents start at about ₦1,200 for a UNILAG hall and ₦2,400 for a Mushin room, with the houses page covering the rest. Write the number down; it is your target for the week.
Step 2: get a job before you explore
Apply from your in-game phone. Do not spend your first session sightseeing with no income, because needs keep falling whether you are working or not.
Step 3: keep energy and hunger above trouble
Sleep at home and eat before a run of shifts. Low energy is what turns a normal week into a missed rent week. The order that matters is on the six needs page.
Step 4: build a one-week buffer
Food is the cost new players forget. Our calculator starts from ₦8,000 a week for food and other costs, on top of rent. Do not upgrade your home until you have covered rent plus that buffer once.
Step 5: then explore
- Visit venues and lift the fun need.
- Try the daily gem hunt.
- Look at UNILAG courses for a better job later.
- Check the governor election, because city policies change what players pay.
